- Frio na Alma. Apreensão de significados atribuídos ao trabalho sexual assistencial na diversidade funcionalPublication . Isabel Cristina Tavares Brás; Mendes, , Sandra; Melo,, SaraA presente Dissertação analisa os significados atribuídos ao trabalho sexual com carácter assistencial, centrando-se nas pessoas com diversidade funcional e no papel que o serviço social pode desempenhar neste campo. O estudo teve como objetivos compreender a assistência sexual como realidade de trabalho de trabalhadores sexuais, analisar as perceções de trabalhadores/as sexuais, das pessoas com diversidade funcional e assistentes sociais acerca dos efeitos da assistência sexual. A investigação segue uma abordagem qualitativa, com recurso a entrevistas semiestruturadas a três grupos distintos: assistentes sexuais, assistentes sociais e pessoas com diversidade funcional. A análise dos dados permitiu identificar pontos de convergência e divergência entre os participantes, revelando tensões éticas, jurídicas e sociais deste fenómeno. Os resultados evidenciam que a assistência sexual, embora seja um tema controverso em Portugal e com lacunas legais, é percebida como sendo uma forma de bem-estar, confiança, empoderamento e inclusão social. Também se constatou que o serviço social tem um papel na problematização crítica destas práticas, devendo orientar-se por princípios anti opressivos e de justiça social, contribuindo para a desconstrução de preconceitos e para a defesa dos direitos das pessoas com diversidade funcional.
- Cinecore: Building a community for audiovisual networking in Lisbon, PortugalPublication . Calaciura, Sofia; Mourão, Rita Andreia MonteiroThis thesis explores the creation of Cinecore, an experimental digital community dedicated to independent filmmakers and audiovisual creatives in Lisbon, Portugal. Starting from the theoretical concepts of network society, virtual communities, and digital platforms, the research analyses the conditions that make digital communities effective for creative collaboration and knowledge exchange. The study stems from the observation that the Portuguese audiovisual market is small difficult to access compared to many other European markets, elements that may disadvantage young professionals and creatives developing indie projects, seeking to enter the sector. The thesis therefore investigates the extent to which a purpose-oriented virtual community can fill these gaps, becoming a space for observing needs, supporting emerging careers, and promoting the Portuguese indie scene. To collect the necessary data, a mixed approach is adopted that combines a quantitative questionnaire to map the habits, needs, and difficulties of audiovisual professionals; semi-structured interviews to delve into individual challenges and experiences; and the creation of a WhatsApp group which serves as Proof of Concept to test the idea of an audiovisual community that supports connections, collaborations and events, to directly observe interaction dynamics. The research contributes both to theoretical reflection on digital communities and social media networks and to the practical experimentation with networking models within the Portuguese audiovisual context.
