Within the scope of the Master's Degree in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing, at the Escola Superior de Saúde Santa Maria, in partnership with the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de São José de Cluny, this dissertation was prepared to obtain the degree of Master in Child Health Nursing and Pediatrics. This document reveals the path taken, which culminated in the acquisition of master's skills, through the common skills of the Specialist Nurse and Specific Skills of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing (EESIP). A special dedication to the teenage age group was demonstrated. As EESIP, it plays a preponderant role in monitoring the adolescent's development, which is influenced by those around them, namely their family caregivers. By establishing a therapeutic relationship with them, EESIP provides a sense of empowerment to the aforementioned dyad, increasing their ability to develop skills to solve their problems, master new tasks and provide positive experiences. This dissertation, whose theme focuses on EESIP's interventions regarding the influence of social networks on adolescents' self-concept, was developed in two chapters. In the first chapter, there is a description of the skills that aim at the critical-reflective analysis of the entire training path, including the acquisition and development of common and specific skills of the EESIP and Master in Nursing. Later, a Scoping Review was carried out with the aim of mapping the scientific evidence on EESIP interventions in the face of the influences of social networks on adolescent self-concept, subsequently exposing an intervention proposal for the practice of care. The care partnership between parents and nurses during adolescence continues to be a challenge for both. Knowing and demystifying its components enhances the success of a beneficial relationship for everyone, especially for teenagers.
