Defende-se a ideia de que a história deve ser recuperada e preservada para as gerações futuras. Reavivando memórias e recuperando recursos, este projeto pretendeu, desenvolver o empreendedorismo social, Identificar os recursos naturais e culturais com o apoio da comunidade, usando o design como potenciador do turismo.
O projeto desenvolveu-se no Bairro do Castelo de S. Jorge, um dos pontos turísticos mais fortes e obrigatórios de Lisboa. O principal objetivo do projeto foi identificar riquezas e recursos endógenos, criando produtos artesanais únicos, confecionados pelos próprios moradores da comunidade local.
Num projeto de cocriação, aliou-se o design gráfico e o artesanato, sem perder de vista a identidade local e histórica do bairro. Como metodologia usou-se uma investigação ativa, com pesquisa de campo, realização de workshops, vídeos e registos verbais através de entrevistas a residentes, com o envolvimento da população e dos recursos existentes no local.
Com a criação de novos produtos mais atrativos, pretendeu-se promover o desenvolvimento sustentável do turismo, estabelecendo uma ligação cultural entre os turistas e a comunidade local.
It is argued that history must be recovered and carefully preserved for future generations. Reviving memories and recovering resources, this project aimed to develop social entrepreneurship, identifying natural and cultural resources with the community support, using design as a tourism enhancer. The project was developed in Castelo de São Jorge area, one of the strongest and mandatory touristic attractions in Lisbon. The main objective of the project was to identify richness and endogenous resources, creating handmade products made-up by residents of local community. In a co creation project, we allied graphic design and handicraft, without losing the local and historical identity of the neighborhood. As methodology, it was used an active research with field research, workshops, videos and verbal recordings through interviews with residents, involving the population and the existing local resources. Creating new and more attractive products, it was intended to promote sustainable development of tourism, establishing a cultural link between tourists and local community.
