A criminalidade, impulsionada pela globalização e pelos avanços
tecnológicos, apresenta novas ameaças que tornam a segurança uma
preocupação crescente para a sociedade. O Estado guineense, responsÔvel
pela seguranƧa, justiƧa e bem-estar social, tem o dever de garantir o exercĆcio
pleno dos direitos fundamentais dos cidadãos, com a intervenção da autoridade
policial na prevenção e combate à criminalidade.
Esta dissertação tem como objetivo principal compreender e descrever a
realidade criminal em Bissau no perĆodo de 2016 a 2020. O estudo estĆ”
estruturado em trĆŖs capĆtulos: o primeiro aborda o enquadramento teórico conceptual; o segundo analisa as estratĆ©gias de prevenção criminal; e o terceiro
caracteriza a criminalidade em Bissau. O mƩtodo adotado Ʃ de natureza
qualitativa, com carÔter exploratório e descritivo, complementada por entrevistas
semiestruturadas, que sustentam a anƔlise apresentada.
Os resultados deste estudo oferecem uma visão detalhada da evolução
da criminalidade em Bissau, destacando as principais formas de crimes e as
estratégias adotadas para sua prevenção, contribuindo para a formulação de
polĆticas pĆŗblicas mais eficazes no contexto da seguranƧa.
Crime, driven by globalization and technological advances, presents new threats that make security an increasing concern for society. The Guinean state, responsible for security, justice, and social welfare, has the duty to ensure the full exercise of citizens' fundamental rights, with the intervention of police authorities in the prevention and fight against crime. This dissertation aims to understand and describe the criminal reality in Bissau during the period from 2016 to 2020. The study is structured into three chapters: the first addresses the theoretical and conceptual framework; the second analyzes criminal prevention strategies; and the third characterizes crime in Bissau. The methodology adopted is qualitative, with an exploratory and descriptive nature, complemented by semi-structured interviews that support the analysis presented. The results of this study provide a detailed view of the evolution of crime in Bissau, highlighting the main types of crimes and the strategies adopted for their prevention, contributing to the formulation of more effective public policies in the context of security.
