Abstract(s)
Introduction: This report describes the development of the profile of specialized competencies in Community Nursing in the area of Family Health Nursing, addressing the organization, structure and training activities, including the clinical and research component. The journey took place in Primary Health Care contexts, namely in a Personalized Health Care Unit and a Family Health Unit. An academic study and a family health intervention project were carried out on the promotion of healthy family habits in overweight adolescents. Objectives: Caring for families at different stages of the life cycle and levels of prevention; lead nursing interventions in family health and promote healthy family habits in overweight adolescents. Methodology: The project methodology was used to prepare the report and a cross-sectional descriptive quantitative study was used to develop the academic study. As theoretical nursing references, we used the Dynamic Family Assessment and Intervention Model (MDAIF) and Nola Pender's Health Promotion Model (MPS). Sociodemographic questionnaires, family and adolescent healthy habits questionnaires, knowledge assessment and the Eating Habits Scale (EHA) were applied. The sample consisted of six adolescents and their families, with interventions carried out in face-to-face, telephone and online consultations. Results: Nursing practice specializing in Family Health, based on theoretical and operational references, allowed understanding the needs of families and developing appropriate interventions to promote health. Conclusion: Reflective and evidence-based clinical practice is crucial for the development of specialist family health nursing competencies and a master's degree.
