Resumo(s)
A cirurgia de amputação major, nomeadamente amputação do membro inferior, afeta
A pessoa submetida a amputação do membro inferior enfrenta diversos desafios
do EEER.
Major amputation surgery, namely lower limb amputation, affects irremediably the human being, leading to functional limitation. The person who undergoes lower limb amputation faces several challenges arising from surgery, namely the loss of quality of life in many areas. Recent studies highlight complications related to lower limb (LL) amputation surgery, such as loss of physical function, loss of autonomy, economic concern and concern about body image alteration. The literature shows the importance of the Rehabilitation Nursing intervention in the person submitted to amputation of the LL, mentioning gains for the person submitted in all dimensions affected, whether physical, in functional rehabilitation, or psychological in the alteration of body image. The present report intends, based on clinical practice, to mirror Rehabilitation Nursing interventions in the person submitted to amputation of the lower limb, that promotes preventive actions, ensures functional capacity, prevents complications, reduces the impact of installed disabilities. Emphasizing that the scope of Rehabilitation Nursing is not limited to one theme/project, interventions and activities were carried out in other areas of Rehabilitation Nursing, which will be described in this Internship Report. In this sense, the objective is to demonstrate the acquisition and development of the common and specific competencies of Rehabilitation Nursing. For the elaboration and implementation of rehabilitation nursing care processes, the nursing theory Nursing as Caring – A model of transformation of practice was selected. This is a medium-range theory, developed by Anne Boykin and Savina Schoenhof.
