Abstract(s)
ineficazes.
Dada a relevância desta temática, o estágio desenvolvido no Lar Santa Isabel permitiu
Partindo do
The family is essential for the development of children, being through the bonds established there that are transmitted, through socialization, the moral and social values, customs, beliefs, and patterns of behaviour. When the family fails to fulfil its responsibilities, the State should guarantee the protection and well-being of children and young people. Thus, of the promotion and protection measures, the residential care measure is considered as the last resort, when all other options have proved to be ineffective. The host houses aim to satisfy all basic needs, promoting the integration of children and young people, both in the family and in the community, and contributing to their personal, social and professional development, thus implying the equation of the issue of autonomy. Given the relevance of this theme, the internship developed at Lar Santa Isabel allowed the knowledge of the work that is developed with young people regarding the promotion of skills for life autonomy. The intervention plan focused on the implementation of activities to promote learning and the development of life skills that facilitate the independence process. Based on participant observation and technical resources such as semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis, the necessary information was collected to understand the dynamics of the institution, namely concerning the development of autonomy skills, life paths for young people, and the anxieties that they feel about their personal and socioprofessional path. Based on the diagnosis, several activities were developed for young people to promote the acquisition of skills at the level of autonomy.
