Abstract(s)
A pesquisa

This study investigates users' perception of the usability of the Escola 360 platform, a central tool in school administration in Portugal. The research adopts a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to capture a detailed image of users' opinions, describing their experiences with the platform and listing benefits, difficulties, and suggestions related to the software. The study involved school administration members from seventeen Portuguese districts, who responded to a form hosted on the Google Forms platform. Seventy-seven valid responses were received to our instrument, which used the System Usability Scale (SUS) to collect quantitative data and four open-ended questions to obtain qualitative data. The Escola 360 platform received an average score of 27.91, well below the benchmark of 68, considered the minimum for acceptable usability. This result reflects a widespread negative perception, highlighting significant issues with the system's complexity and performance. In contrast, the positive aspects mentioned include the platform's ability to integrate and centralize data, which are considered beneficial for school administration. In the qualitative part of the study, four open-ended questions were posed to participants to explore their experiences and perceptions of the platform more deeply. The responses highlighted the need for substantial improvements to make the platform more intuitive and efficient. The study concludes that it is crucial to implement usability enhancements to increase the effectiveness of school administration. It is proposed that the platform be redesigned or significantly improved to better meet users' needs, thereby promoting more effective school management adapted to contemporary educational realities
