Abstract(s)
Partindo da premissa de que melhorar a qualidade da Educação em Cabo Verde é um dos
objetivos primordiais do Governo, a presente dissertação tem como propósito a Análise da
Implementação do Sistema Integrado de Gestão Escolar (SIGE) em Cabo Verde, com o
objetivo de compreender o impacto que o SIGE tem junto da comunidade educativa, bem
como avaliar o grau de satisfação com a utilização do mesmo, da formação inicial e
contínua e, também, fazer com que o presente estudo possa servir de base para a
implementação de melhorias nas escolas.
Do ponto de vista metodológico recorreu-se ao estudo de caso, apoiado numa abordagem
mista (quantitativa e qualitativa). A entrevista e o questionário tiveram um grande peso
enquanto instrumentos de recolha de dados. Foi realizada uma entrevista às diretoras da
Escola Secundária Abílio Duarte e da Escola Secundária Cónego Jacinto Peregrino da
Costa e foi aplicado um questionário aos professores das duas escolas, que envolveu um
total de 150 amostras, de um universo total de 175 professores.
As conclusões do presente estudo apontam, de forma geral, para a satisfação dos professores
com a implementação do SIGE nas escolas. Não obstante, reconhecem haver ainda, uma série
de questões que precisam ser melhoradas, sendo as mais citadas, a nível do acesso ao SIGE,
melhoria da lentidão e bloqueio do sistema e melhoria na ligação à internet e a nível da
simplificação do SIGE torná-lo mais intuitivo.
Based on the assumption that improving the quality of Education in Cape Verde is one of the primary objectives of the Government, this dissertation aims to analyze the implementation of the Integrated School Management System (SIGE) in Cape Verde, whose objective is to understand the impact that SIGE has with the educational community, as well as the assessment of the degree of satisfaction with the use of it, initial and continuous training, and also make the present study serve as a basis for implementing improvements in schools. From a methodological point of view, a case study was used, based on a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative). The interview and the questionnaire had a great weight as data collection instruments, in which an interview was conducted with the directors of the Escola Secundária Abílio Duarte and the Escola Secundária Cónego Jacinto Peregrino da Costa and a questionnaire was applied to the teachers of both schools, which involved a total of 150 samples, from a universe of 175 teachers in total. The conclusions of this study point, in general, to the satisfaction with the implementation of SIGE in schools, on the part of teachers. But they recognize that there are still many issues that need to be improved in terms of access to the SIGE, being improvement in the slowness and blocking of the system, simplifying and making the SIGE more intuitive, improving the internet connection the most mentioned.
