Abstract(s)
Companies use a variety of methodologies in order to remain competitive. In a context where there are many players in the market, companies must continually evaluate ways to improve their processes or products and, at the same time, promote innovation and create new solutions. Six Sigma is a methodology that was created to improve existing processes, whereas Design Thinking seeks to create innovative solutions. Regardless of the approach, it is imperative that companies have on time and constant access to internal and external knowledge, so that they can create and pursue a strategy to achieve key objectives. This study presents a procedure that integrates tools from both approaches, along with just-in-time knowledge management principles, to define actions that enable the achievement of institutional objectives and, therefore, allow companies to become or remain competitive.
