| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação tende a analisar a temática da Legionella, nomeadamente associada a uma análise de estudo de caso. A empresa objeto de estudo é a Lusosider, uma empresa pertencente ao setor industrial da siderurgia portuguesa. Como objetivo geral foi definido analisar a problemática das avaliações de risco, em relação ao eventual aparecimento de Legionella. E como objetivos específicos analisar um estudo de caso, sendo este a Lusosider, em termos aplicação de legislação (portuguesa e europeia). Pretende-se, também, referir quais os pontos que a Legionella vai implicar e o que acontece aos intervenientes, caso se desenvolva. Em termos metodológicos é caracterizado por um estudo qualitativo, exploratório, com recurso ao estudo de caso. As técnicas de recolha de informação utilizadas são a pesquisa e análise bibliográfica e documental. No âmbito do estudo de caso foi permitido concluir que a empresa objeto de estudo cumpria com a legislação em vigor no que concerne à temática da Legionella, nomeadamente na elaboração de avaliação de riscos e formas de controlo associadas. No âmbito do estudo foram definidas medidas de prevenção, que serão aplicadas na empresa estudada: a temperatura das águas deve ser mantida a temperatura ideal e a empresa deve realizar análises às águas em laboratórios acreditados. Devem alertar as instituições com quem trabalham em caso positivo de Legionella e dar a conhecer aos colaboradores os riscos provenientes da mesma. A empresa deve documentar o fiscalizador dos sistemas propícios ao desenvolvimento da Legionella, e deve aplicar programas de monitorização e planos de manutenção nos sistemas, em caso positivo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present dissertation tends to analyze the theme of Legionella, namely associated with a case study analysis. The company object of study is Lusosider, a company belonging to the industrial sector of the Portuguese steel industry. As a general objective, it was defined to analyze the problem of risk assessments, in relation to the possible appearance of Legionella. And as specific objectives to analyze a case study, this being the Lusosider, in terms of application of legislation (Portuguese and European). It is also intended to refer to the points that Legionella will involve and what happens to the actors, if it develops. In methodological terms, it is characterized by a qualitative, exploratory study, using the case study. The information collection techniques used are bibliographic and documentary research and analysis. Within the scope of the case study, it was possible to conclude that the company under study complied with the legislation in force regarding the topic of Legionella, namely in the elaboration of risk assessment and associated forms of control. In the scope of the study, preventive measures were defined, which will be applied in the studied company: the water temperature must be maintained at the ideal temperature and the company must carry out analyzes of the waters in accredited laboratories. They must alert the institutions they work with in the case of a positive case of Legionella and make employees aware of the risks arising from it. The company must document the supervisor of systems conducive to the development of Legionella, and must apply monitoring programs and maintenance plans in the systems, if so. | pt_PT |
