Abstract(s)
Sinalização (PS) e do Plano Prevenção Riscos Profissionais (PPRP).
In this study was evaluated the influence of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System in a Wastewater Treatment Station operations through the analysis of the main difficulties in the identification of hazards and risks associated and in the existing controls and analysis of its applicability. In a Wastewater Treatment Station there are many factors leading to accidents, namely the use of various tools, noisy machines, lack of protection in the moving parts, chemicals, slippery or uneven floors, unprotected energized elements and the entry into areas with insufficient oxygen. Based on the standard Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Services (OHSAS) 18001:2007 / NP 4397:2008 and the legislation, it was made a survey of the hazards, evaluated the existing risks and controls at the Wastewater Treatment Station. We performed the analysis of improvements evidenced by the safety management system implementation, including reducing the number of incidents and the number of nonconformities recorded in internal audits and in the certification body reports. We emphasize the fulfillment of legal requirements, the importance of relationships with stakeholders, t improvement and adaptation of structures and facilities, the review of Internal Emergency Plan, the upgrading of Signaling Plans and the Professionals Risk Prevention Plan.
