In addition to the Community of Portuguese to project and consolidate the bonds of friendship between Portuguese speaking countries, it is also up to its member countries to propose solutions that can boost the Community as a producer of security and defense. In the context of this problem, the objective of this work using the Projects of the Brazilian Space Systems Strategic Progr the reinforcement of cooperation in the field of security and defense of the member countries of the Community of Portuguese qualitative research methodology, through bibliographic resear analysis and having adopted the case study as a research design, it was the Projects of the Brazilian Space Systems Strategic Program that contribute to the security and defense of the countries of the Community. The study assessed an effective relationship between the security and defense strategies of the countries of the Community and the possibility of applying the Projects of the Brazilian Space Systems Strategic Program with respect to meteorology / natural disasters, control of jurisdictional waters, control of borders and internal security of countries.
