dc.description.abstractO desporto em geral e em particular o futebol, assumem um lugar de relevo no quotidiano da sociedade atual. Nesse sentido, a gestão destes eventos exige cada vez mais uma resposta policial adequada e estruturada, que possa antever riscos, sejam eles antes, durante e/ou após o evento desportivo. De facto, reconhecendo que devemos estudar o passado para melhor encarar o presente e preparar-nos para o futuro, sobrelevam-se algumas tragédias ocorridas durante eventos desportivos, que redundaram em responsabilidades para a Polícia em geral, e para o Comandante do policiamento em particular. Hodiernamente, o Comandante do policiamento desportivo assume um papel de relevo neste domínio, tornando-se, portanto, premente consolidar as suas competências enquanto principal responsável pelo planeamento e gestão de segurança do evento. Considerando a base formativa dos Oficiais da PSP para o desempenho desta função, evidencia-se a necessidade de promover a sua especialização através da criação de um curso para Comandantes de policiamentos desportivos.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractSports in general, and football in particular, assume a relevant place in the daily life of today's society. In this sense, the management of these events increasingly requires an adequate and structured police response, capable of foreseeing risks, whether before, during and/or after the sporting event. In fact, recognizing that we should study the past in order to better face the present and prepare ourselves for the future, some tragedies occurred during sports events, which resulted in responsibilities for the Police in general, and for the police commanding officer in particular, are worthy of mention. Nowadays, the commander of the sports policing assumes a relevant role in this domain, thus becoming urgent to consolidate his competences as the main responsible for the planning and safety management of the event. Considering the training basis of the PSP Commanding officers for the performance of this function, there is a need to promote their specialization through the creation of a course for Commanders of sports policing.pt_PT
