Abstract(s)
competências comuns do enfermeiro especialista e especificas do enfermeiro especialista
valorização do papel do EEER no cuidar do utente pediátrico.
This report aims to describe the activities developed during the Final Internship course unit in order to obtain the Master's Degree in Nursing in the area of Specialization in Rehabilitation Nursing, with the purpose of developing common competencies of the specialist nurse and specific competencies of the specialist rehabilitation nursing as recommended by the Portuguese Nurses Association. Two dimensions are addressed in the provision of care to paediatric patients in an intensive care unit: the RBS intervention in the early mobilization of the premature infant and the child in need of respiratory rehabilitation. A descriptive case study methodology was used through the planning and implementation of a Rehabilitation Nursing intervention plan in a child with acute bronchiolitis. As a theoretical reference, Afaf Meleis' middle range theory was considered, since all health/disease processes are experienced by the child and family all of them being transition processes. Therefore, it is considered that the skills acquired and developed throughout the academic career contributed to the development of evidence-based practice, multidisciplinarity, and appreciation of the role of the EEER in the care of the paediatric patient.
