O trabalho teve como objetivo o desenvolvimento de um coletor solar térmico que utilize um
nanofluido como meio para a absorção direta da radiação solar. Consistiu no desenvolvimento e
construção de um pré-protótipo, realização de testes de otimização, caracterização das principais
dificuldades e limitações para produção de um coletor solar que realize a absorção direta de energia
através de um nanofluido. Pretendeu-se também comparar os valores de eficiência obtidos pelos
pré-protótipos desenvolvidos, com os valores típicos alcançados pelos coletores solares planos
comercialmente disponíveis, tendo-se verificado que os valores de eficiência obtidos nos ensaios
realizados foram inferiores aos valores típicos, sendo que existe muita margem de melhoria no préprotótipo utilizado
The aim of this thesis was to develop a nanofluid based direct absorption solar collector. It consisted of developing and building a pre-prototype, carrying out optimization tests, characterizing the main difficulties and limitations for producing a solar collector that directly absorbs energy through a nanofluid. The objective was also to compare the efficiency values obtained by the pre-prototypes developed, with the typical values achieved by commercially available flat solar collectors, concluding that the efficiency values obtained in the tests were lower than typical values, and the pre-prototype used have a lot of room for improvement.
