Abstract(s)
This report results from the action-research project carried out within the framework of the Supervised Teaching Practice units of the master’s degree in early childhood education, presenting a study that spans both internship contexts: Nursery and Kindergarten. The project, entitled "Children's Daily Lives – The Meaning of Care and Routines in the Context of Nursery and Kindergarten," aims to understand how cooperating educators organize their classroom routines, thereby promoting a stable and flexible routine in both Nursery and Kindergarten settings. The methodology used, based on a qualitative approach, was implemented through action-research procedures, creating several learning opportunities for and with the children, while also gathering the children's and educators' opinions on the project, highlighting the importance of routines. Through the selected techniques and instruments, the observations and interventions carried out were described and analyzed. This research process made it possible to understand the importance of organizing routines, emphasizing the need to adapt them to each group of children, thus promoting security, autonomy, and flexibility in a way that respects each child's needs and interests.
