Abstract(s)
Com o intuito de reverter um sector agrícola envelhecido, a Politica Agrícola
Comum (PAC) adotou medidas que visam a diminuição de assimetrias
regionais, bem como, o desenvolvimento das zonas rurais dos seus Estados
Membros. O objetivo desta dissertação de Mestrado é estudar uma dessas
medidas, o apoio aos Jovens Agricultores em Portugal e o seu enquadramento
em correlação com a produção em Agricultura Biológica (AB) entre as gerações
mais novas de agricultores.
Iniciativas como o apoio ao investimento de Jovens Agricultores possibilitam a
introdução de práticas agrícolas mais inovadoras e contribuem para uma
atratividade agrícola mais consentânea com o estilo de vida rural para as
gerações mais jovens.
Deste modo, tem-se como objetivo neste trabalho estudar as medidas de apoio
à instalação de jovens agricultores, as expectativas e dificuldades que os
mesmos poderão encontrar durante todo o processo, desde a apresentação de
uma candidatura até à fase de implementação do projeto.
Analisadas as entrevistas concluímos que a instalação de JA é um processo
moroso, que exige conhecimentos a vários níveis, nomeadamente agrícolas,
logísticos, financeiros e de mercado. Pelo que, dadas estas exigências, os
candidatos sentiram significativas dificuldades, tendo, por isso, tido
necessidade de recorrer a empresas especializadas.

In order to turn round aging in the agricultural sector, Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) adopted measures trying to decrease these regional asymmetries, as well as the development of rural areas of the Member States. The purpose of this Master's Final Paper is to study one of these measures, and it’s framework in correlation with the production in Organic Agriculture (OA) in The Young Farmers Program in Portugal among younger farmer’s generations. Initiatives such as the Young Farmers Program allow introducing more innovative farming practices and contributing to the attractiveness of the rural lifestyle for younger generations. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to let the future young farmers (YF) know the support measures for their installation, the expectations and difficulties they may encounter throughout the process since project presentation to the execution stage. After analyzing the interviews we concluded that the (YF) installation is a long process that requires knowledge at various levels, including agricultural, logistic, financial and market. Applicants had significant difficulties and therefore had to resort to specialized companies for these purposes, given these requirements.
