Atualmente, no mercado de trabalho, caraterizado pelas constantes mudanças provenientes da rápida evolução tecnológica e do surgimento de novos conhecimentos, são necessárias cada vez mais competências por parte de quem nele se quer inserir. Estas competências são em grande parte concebidas pelas instituições de ensino superior, que têm o papel de formar os indivíduos para estarem à altura dos desafios que podem encontrar no mercado de trabalho. Este estudo tem como principal objetivo conhecer o processo de inserção profissional dos licenciados em Gestão da Distribuição e da Logística de uma instituição de ensino superior que concluíram a sua licenciatura no ano letivo 2022-2023. Mais especificamente, pretende-se conhecer o processo de inserção profissional dos licenciados no mercado de trabalho, identificar os requisitos valorizados pelos licenciados no contexto profissional, conhecer a perceção dos licenciados sobre as competências valorizadas pelas organizações e, por fim, identificar quais as competências desenvolvidas na instituição ensino superior. A amostra é constituída por nove recém-licenciados que já tiveram contacto com o mercado de trabalho na sua área de estudos superiores, tendo sido utilizado, como instrumento de recolha de dados, entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os resultados revelam que há um processo de inserção profissional rápido e os diplomados tendem a não prosseguir estudos de imediato. Os estágios curriculares são muito importantes para o processo de inserção profissional. O método mais utilizado para a obtenção de um emprego é através da plataforma Linkedin e a maior barreira à inserção o mercado de trabalho é a falta de experiência profissional. O requisito mais valorizado pelos diplomados é o salário competitivo e as competências mais valorizadas pelas organizações são a comunicação eficaz e a flexibilidade. As soft-skills foram as competências mais desenvolvidas durante o ensino superior.
Nowadays, in the job market, characterized by the constant changes due to the fast technological evolution and the emergence of new knowledge, more and more skills are required of those who want to enter there. These skills are mainly provided by the higher education institutions, which have the mission of training individuals to face the challenges they could find in the job market. The main goal of this study is to find out about the process of professional integration of graduates in Distribution and Logistics management from a higher education institution who completed their degree in the academic year of 2022-2023. More specifically, it aims to understanding the process of professional integration of graduates into the job market, identifying the valuable requirements by graduates in the professional context, understanding the graduate’s perception about the valuable skills required by the organizations and, finally, identifying the skills developed in that higher education institution. The sample consists of nine recent graduates who had already contact with the job market in their area of studies and the respective data collection instrument was semi-structured interviews. The results show that there is a fast process of professional integration and graduates tend not to continue their studies immediately. Curricular internships are very important for the process of professional integration. The most common method used to find a job is through the Linkedin and the biggest barrier to entering the job market is a lack of professional experience. The most valued requirement by the graduates is a competitive salary and the skills most valued by the organizations are effective communication and flexibility. Soft skills were the most developed skills during higher education.
