Abstract(s)
"Este projeto propõe um modelo conceptual para a curadoria
digital de acervos fotográficos, com foco na preservação,
organização e acessibilidade da memória visual em plataformas
digitais. Com base numa abordagem qualitativa, foram
analisadas práticas nacionais e internacionais, e testado o
modelo com especialistas e utilizadores. Os resultados
confirmam que a integração de estratégias curatoriais,
metadados normalizados e uma interface acessível melhora
significativamente a experiência de navegação e o valor
documental das imagens. O estudo destaca a fotografia como
património cultural vivo e defende soluções digitais inclusivas e
sustentáveis."
This research presents a conceptual model for the digital curation of photographic archives, with a primary focus on the preservation, organisation, and accessibility of visual memory within digital environments. Employing a qualitative and exploratory methodology, the study examines national and international best practices, and evaluates the model through empirical testing with both subject-matter experts and nonspecialist users. Findings demonstrate that the integration of curatorial strategies, standardised metadata schemas, and an accessible user interface significantly enhances user experience and reinforces the documentary and cultural value of digital images. This work positions photography as a dynamic component of cultural heritage and advocates for inclusive, sustainable, and user-centred approaches to digital archive design and management.
