Abstract(s)
In our investigation, we focused our study on virtual teams, that is, those that were geographically and organizationally dispersed, with little physical contact, and whose communication was carried out through specific programs. Given the growing trend of hybrid work, we sought to analyze productivity and the best practices for leading a virtual team, identifying what motivated employees and kept them dedicated. To achieve these objectives, we conducted interviews with various interlocutors involved in hybrid work, including team leaders, who faced the challenge of maintaining productivity. These interviews aimed to explore how these leaders managed to keep their teams productive and identify areas that, in their opinion, could be improved. During the interviews, we addressed various aspects of hybrid work, from strategies to ensure effective communication to techniques for maintaining employee engagement. The leaders shared their experiences and perceptions of the importance of creating a work environment that balanced flexibility and structure, allowing employees to feel supported and motivated. Some of the highlighted practices included the implementation of technological tools that facilitated collaboration and communication, the clear definition of goals and expectations, and the promotion of a continuous feedback culture. Additionally, many leaders emphasized the importance of recognizing and rewarding good performance. We concluded that the need to encourage the use of virtual teams and to seek solutions to overcome the barriers caused by physical distance, improving team cohesion, is a significant contribution that we hope to offer to future researchers.
