Abstract(s)
O presente relatório remete-se às práticas desenvolvidas no Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar, no âmbito das Unidades Curriculares de Estágio em Educação de Infância I, II e III. Este apresenta uma investigação abrangente aos contextos de estágio, divididos em quatro momentos, dois em cada contexto, de creche e de jardim de infância.
O estudo intitulado “Artes Visuais e Emoções: uma ligação para o conhecimento emocional”, tem como objetivos compreender melhor o que são as emoções, como é que as emoções se desenvolvem nas crianças e de que forma as emoções podem ser ligadas às artes visuais. Para atingir estes objetivos, tentei responder à questão de investigação: “Como promover o conhecimento emocional através de atividades de artes visuais, em educação de infância?”.
A metodologia de investigação utilizada para o desenvolvimento deste estudo foi a investigação qualitativa e a investigação-ação. Como técnicas e instrumentos de recolha e registo de dados recorri à observação, aos registos fotográficos, às notas de campo e às entrevistas realizadas às educadoras cooperantes. Com base nas técnicas e instrumentos de recolha, descrevo e analiso as intervenções realizadas nos contextos, acompanhando-as de fotografias, notas de campo e recorrendo à visão das educadoras cooperantes obtidas através das entrevistas.
Ao longo do processo de investigação e com o apoio dos momentos de estágio, apercebi-me que as emoções são um tema muito pouco abordado em educação de infância e que por isso, detêm um papel de pouca importância. Aliando o meu gosto pessoal pelas artes visuais ao interesse pela temática das emoções em contexto de educação de infância, percebi que existe uma ligação entre ambas as áreas e que o educador tem um papel fundamental enquanto intermediário.
This report refers to the practices developed in the Masters Degree in Pre-School Education, within the Curricular Units of Internship in Early Childhood Education I, II and III. It presents a comprehensive investigation of the contexts of internship, divided into four moments, two in each context, nursery and kindergarten. The study entitled “Visual Arts and Emotions: A Link to Emotional Knowledge” aims to better understand what emotions are, how emotions develop in children and how emotions can be linked to the visual arts. To achieve these goals, I tried to answer the research question: “How to promote emotional knowledge through visual arts activities in childhood education?”. The research methodology used for the development of this study was the qualitative research and action research. As techniques and tools for gathering information I resorted to observation, photographic records, field notes and interviews with cooperating educators. Based on the techniques and instruments of collection, I describe and analyse the interventions carried out in the contexts, accompanying them with photographs, field notes and using the view of the cooperating educators obtained through the interviews. Throughout the research process and with the support of the internship moments, I have realized that emotions are a very little addressed topic in childhood education and therefore have a minor role. Combining my personal taste for visual arts with an interest in the subject of emotions in the context of early childhood education, I realized that there is a connection between both areas and that the educator has a fundamental role as an intermediary.
