Abstract(s)
A escola deve ser encarada como um espaço democrático e de aprendizagem cooperativa, desempenhando um papel fundamental na formação cívica dos alunos.
Foi com esta perspetiva que, através da educação para a cidadania aplicada na minha prática pedagógica decorrida numa turma de 3.o ano do Ensino Básico em Setúbal, pretendi perceber “Quais os contributos da compreensão de valores e práticas democráticas para o desenvolvimento de trabalhos de grupo?”.
Este projeto de investigação, tem como objetivo geral, contribuir para a explicitação, compreensão e implementação dos valores democráticos no dia-a-dia dos alunos. E, como objetivo específico, potenciar o trabalho colaborativo da turma, através de propostas pedagógicas na área da participação democrática.
A metodologia adotada neste estudo foi a investigação sobre a prática profissional, onde se recorreu à pesquisa documental, à observação e a inquéritos por questionário como técnicas de recolha de dados, tendo o tratamento dos dados sido realizado através da análise de conteúdo.
Os resultados alcançados apontam que, com a implementação deste projeto centrado na pedagogia participativa e nos valores democráticos, foi possível melhorar as dinâmicas de grupo, os comportamentos dos alunos e as práticas democráticas em contexto escolar.
The school should be faced as a democratic and cooperative learning space, playing a fundamental role in the students' civic education. It was with this perspective that, through citizenship education applied in my pedagogical practice, carried out in a 3rd-year primary school class in Setúbal, I intended to understand "What contributions does the understanding of democratic values and practices make to the development of group work?". This overall objective of this research project is to contribute to the clarification, understanding and implementation of democratic values in the daily life of students. As a specific objective, it seeks to enhance the collaborative work of the class, through pedagogical proposals in the area of democratic participation. The methodology adopted in this study was the investigation on the professional practice, where documentary research, observation and questionnaire surveys were used as data collection techniques, as well as their treatment through content analysis. The achieved results point out that, with the implementation of this project focused on the participatory pedagogy and democratic values, it was possible to improve group dynamics, student behaviour and democratic practices in the school context.
