A projeção de Forças e Meios para o reforço dos Elementos da Componente Terrestre do SFN 2014 nas Regiões Autónomas

| dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho enquadra-se no âmbito do planeamento do reforço da capacidade de defesa imediata das Regiões Autónomas e do apoio ao desenvolvimento e bem-estar das suas populações e visa contribuir para a identificação de um plano de reforço da Componente Terrestre para cumprimento daquelas missões, relacionando as capacidades julgadas necessárias para as concretizar com os cenários, ameaças e tipologia de forças a empregar e a necessidade, ou não, de eventuais reforços. Foi utilizado o método hipotético-dedutivo e o seguinte percurso metodológico: definição do atual ambiente em matéria de segurança e defesa e identificação das novas ameaças; enquadramento da projeção de forças e desafios no âmbito nacional que se colocam à projeção daquelas para as Regiões Autónomas; verificação das condições que importam garantir de modo a que o reforço da Componente Terrestre do Sistema de Forças Nacional 2014 nas Regiões Autónomas possa ser conduzido com êxito e, finalmente, desenvolve-se acerca da capacidade militar terrestre instalada e eventual reforço necessário face a cenários previamente estabelecidos. Foi possível constatar que a Componente Terrestre está organizada, preparada e treinada para a defesa da soberania, da integridade territorial e para apoiar o desenvolvimento e bem-estar das populações, em todo o território nacional. Abstract: This paper falls within the planning scope of the strengthening of the immediate defense capabilities of the Azores and Madeira and the development and welfare of its people. It aims to contribute in identifying an enhancement plan for the Land Component of Portuguese Armed Forces to accomplish such missions, addressing the military capabilities deemed necessary to implement them with scenarios, threats, and types of forces to employ and, either the need, or not, of any reinforcements. The hypothetical-deductive method was employed together with the following approach: definition of the current security and defense environment, and identification of new threats; framework of force projection and challenges at the national level in deploying military units and assets to Azores and Madeira; verification of the ensuring conditions such that the strengthening of the Land Component in the Azores and the Madeira islands can be successfully conducted and, finally, the analysis of the existing military capability and the possible need for reinforcements to deal with the previously established scenarios. Our assessment is that the Land Component is organized, prepared, and trained to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as to support the development and well-being of national citizens throughout the country. | pt_PT |
