Abstract(s)
O presente projeto tem como principal objetivo a elaboração de uma proposta de
internacionalização para a startup portuguesa Talkguest, na Ôrea da alta tecnologia, um
software para o negócio do alojamento local.
O mundo encontra-se em rÔpida e forte mutação, os métodos e ferramentas que
conhecemos hoje, jÔ não são os mesmos de hÔ décadas atrÔs, forçando as empresas a
modificarem os seus processos, formas de fazer negócio, estratégias e planos. A atividade
internacional tornou-se não só uma necessidade para o progresso e desenvolvimento das
organizações como fundamental para a sua sobrevivência.
No capĆtulo da revisĆ£o da literatura sĆ£o abordados conceitos-chave para o
desenvolvimento do projeto, tais como: a internacionalização, as teorias e paradigmas a ter
em consideração no processo de decisão, as estratégias de internacionalização, as motivações
e barreiras que determinam a procura pelo mercado internacional e a seleção do mercado.
A natureza do projeto envolve também uma metodologia primÔria com o propósito
de perceber qual o comportamento das startups de tecnologia no mercado internacional, e
como tal foi elaborado um trabalho de campo onde se recolheram dados qualitativos junto de
especialistas e players de mercado. O projeto termina com a estratƩgia para a primeira
abordagem ao mercado internacional da Talkguest, tendo em consideração toda a pesquisa
primƔria e secundƔria.
The main goal of this project is to develop an internationalization proposal for the portuguese high tech startup Talkguest, a rental software for the short term rental business. The world is rapidly and strongly changing, the methods and tools we know today are no longer the same as they were decades ago, forcing companies to modify their processes, ways of doing business, strategies and plans. International activity has become not only a necessity for the progress and development of organizations but also fundamental for their survival. The literature review contains the key concepts for the development of this project, such as: internationalization, theories to be taken into account in the decision-making process, internationalization strategies, motivations and barriers that determine the demand for the international market and finally the selection of the market. The nature of this project also involves a primary methodology with the purpose of understanding the behavior of high tech startups in the international market, to do so, a fieldwork was elaborated where qualitative data were collected from specialists and market players. The project ends with the strategy for Talkguest's first approach to the international market, taking into account all primary and secondary research.
