Abstract(s)
Nowadays, we live in an environment where the organizations are using Business Intelligence (BI) in order to support their decision process. Considering the increasing use of BI by the Portuguese Navy (MP), there is a need to explore maturity models that allow to assess the level of proficiency in information use, that is to say, the current state of BI’s maturity. This investigation work has as main objective to investigate which maturity model (MM) in BI provides a better assessment to it, inside the human resources area of the MP. To reach the objective purposed, it was analyzed, primarily, the BI’s evolution of the human resources area of the MP. Secondly, the most relevant MM in BI were classified, in a structured and methodical way, identifying, simultaneously, which dimensions and choice criteria of MM are more significant to MP. To sum up, this study became possible, through a multicriteria decision analysis, to understand what MM best suits a maturity assessment in BI, for the MP.
