In a context where law enforcement agencies face a concerning shortage of recruitment, the Public Security Police finds itself compelled to reinvent its communication approach – particularly in the field of recruitment – to continue fulfilling its noble mission of maintaining public order and safety. There is today an urgent need to communicate with authenticity and purpose, as a strategic factor for institutional value and social legitimacy, without which empathy, trust, and connection risk being eroded. This study seeks to understand how coherence between discourse and practice can foster trust and identification. It examines how digital communication, social media, and employer branding can contribute to renewing the institutional image of the Public Security Police and enhancing the attractiveness of the police career among younger generations. From an evolutionary perspective, the PSP cannot and should not stand apart from social and technological progress. The study demonstrates that an integrated, participatory, and humanized communication strategy can position the PSP as a modern, transparent, and community-oriented organization – one in which authority is balanced with empathy and public service is reaffirmed as a vocation.
