O presente relatório descreve detalhadamente as atividades realizadas durante o estágio na BorgWarner Seixal, no âmbito do curso de Técnico Superior de Higiene e Segurança no Trabalho. O principal foco do estágio incidiu sobre a avaliação de riscos nas diferentes áreas da empresa e a atualização das fichas de segurança e operações industriais. Foram aplicadas metodologias reconhecidas internacionalmente, como o FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), e foram conduzidas análises de risco baseadas em observação direta, consulta a colaboradores e revisão de documentação existente. O estágio permitiu a identificação de potenciais perigos em máquinas antigas e modernas, bem como a implementação de medidas preventivas e corretivas, contribuindo para a redução de acidentes e incidentes. Adicionalmente, promoveu a sensibilização e formação dos colaboradores quanto ao cumprimento das normas de segurança, garantindo que todos os processos operem dentro dos parâmetros estabelecidos pelos regulamentos de Higiene e Segurança no Trabalho. Este trabalho proporcionou a integração entre teoria e prática, evidenciando a importância da avaliação de riscos e da gestão da segurança ocupacional na indústria moderna.
This report describes in detail the activities carried out during the internship at BorgWarner Seixal, as part of the Occupational Health and Safety Technician program. The internship's main focus was risk assessment in different areas of the company and updating safety data sheets and industrial operations. Internationally recognized methodologies, such as FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), were applied, and risk analyses were conducted based on direct observation, employee consultation, and review of existing documentation. The internship enabled the identification of potential hazards in both legacy and modern machinery, as well as the implementation of preventive and corrective measures, contributing to the reduction of accidents and incidents. Furthermore, it promoted employee awareness and training on compliance with safety standards, ensuring that all processes operate within the parameters established by Occupational Health and Safety regulations. This work provided integration between theory and practice, highlighting the importance of risk assessment and occupational safety management in modern industry.
