Abstract(s)
O presente relatório surge no âmbito do 2º Mestrado em Enfermagem Médico-
Cirúrgica, da Escola Superior de Enfermagem de São José de Cluny e a sua apresentação e
discussão pública visam a obtenção do grau de Mestre em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica.
Este relatório tem como objetivos demonstrar as competências comuns e
específicas do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica, refletindo
criticamente sobre as vivências e experiências adquiridas; descrever o percurso académico
do cuidar do doente em situação crítica e em situação paliativa e a sua família; evidenciar as
competências de Mestre em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica.
Este trabalho foi desenvolvido durante os estágios no Serviço de Medicina
Intensiva, Serviço de Urgência e Unidade de Cuidados Paliativos, do Serviço de Saúde da
Região Autónoma da Madeira, através da análise e reflexão das experiências vividas em
contexto de ensino clínico.
Relativamente aos estágios I e II, realizados no Serviço de Urgência e Serviço de
Medicina Intensiva respetivamente, desenvolvi competências científicas, técnicas,
relacionais e ético-deontológicas como enfermeira especialista em enfermagem médicocirúrgica
no âmbito da prestação de cuidados à pessoa e família a vivenciar uma situação de
doença crítica, tomando decisões de forma refletida e baseada na mais recente evidência
científica de forma a ser assertiva.
No estágio III, em contexto de Cuidados Paliativos, desenvolvi o cuidar da pessoa
a vivenciar processos de doença crónica, incapacitante e terminal, dos seus cuidadores e
familiares, diminuído o sofrimento, maximizando o seu bem-estar, conforto e qualidade de
vida, bem como estabeleci uma relação terapêutica com os doentes, cuidadores e família, de
modo a facilitar o processo de adaptação às perdas sucessivas e à morte, sendo estes, os
alicerces da formação do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem à pessoa em situação
crónica e paliativa, ilustrando as competências basilares da prática.
A metodologia utilizada para o desenvolvimento do relatório é a descritiva,
analítica e reflexiva, recorrendo à evidência, científica e focada nas situações experienciadas
nos estágios.
This report comes within the scope of the 2nd Master's in Medical-Surgical Nursing, from the Escola Superior de Enfermagem de São José de Cluny and its presentation and public discussion aim to obtain the Master's degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing. This report aims to demonstrate the common and specific skills of the specialist nurse in medical-surgical nursing, critically reflecting on the experiences and experiences acquired; to describe the academic path of caring for the patient in a critical situation and in a palliative situation and their family; to highlight the skills of a Master in Medical-Surgical Nursing. This work was developed during internships at the Intensive Care Service, Emergency Service and Palliative Care Unit, of the Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, through the analysis and reflection of the experiences lived in the context of clinical teaching. Regarding internships I and II, carried out in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Service respectively, I developed scientific, technical, relational and ethicaldeontological skills as a specialist nurse in medical-surgical nursing in the context of providing care to the person and family to be experienced a critical illness situation, making decisions in a thoughtful way and based on the latest scientific evidence in order to be assertive. In stage III, in the context of Palliative Care, I developed the care of the person experiencing chronic, disabling and terminal illness processes, of their caregivers and family members, reducing suffering, maximizing their well-being, comfort and quality of life, as well as how I established a therapeutic relationship with patients, caregivers and family, in order to facilitate the process of adaptation to successive losses and death, which are the foundations of the nurse specialist in nursing for the person in a chronic and palliative situation. The methodology used for the development of the report is descriptive, analytical and reflective, using evidence, scientific and focused on the situations experienced in the internships.
