Abstract(s)
O presente estudo denomina-se “Práticas artísticas e culturais para a inclusão de
estudantes provenientes dos Países de Língua Oficial Portuguesa – um estudo de caso
no Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal” e teve como objetivo geral entender se as práticas
artísticas e as práticas culturais podem contribuir para a inclusão de estudantes dos
Países de Língua Oficial Portuguesa no ensino superior, entre outras ações relevantes.
Assente numa metodologia de estudo de caso, a investigação centrou-se num
percurso etápico: a pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a temática do estudo e a
fundamentação teórica da metodologia da investigação; o planeamento e execução de
procedimentos e técnicas de investigação; a realização de entrevistas exploratórias a
informadores chave; a conceção das técnicas de recolha e tratamento de informação; a
aplicação das técnicas, com divulgação do inquérito e convites aos informadores chave
para realização de entrevistas; a análise da informação recolhida; e a elaboração do
relatório de dissertação.
Salientam-se dos resultados do estudo os constrangimentos específicos com que
os estudantes PLOP se deparam, em comparação com os restantes estudantes do
ensino superior, e a existência de medidas desenvolvidas pelo Estado Português, pelas
IES, entre os quais o IPS, que se dirigem aos problemas e às dificuldades sentidas pelos
estudantes. Constatou-se que existe necessidade de implementação de outras
medidas, quer pela crescente procura que existe nos Cursos do IPS (tendência também
generalizada a nível nacional nas instituições de ensino superior portuguesas) quer
pelas características intrínsecas que estes estudantes apresentam.
Foi salientada, dentre outras práticas, a importância das práticas artísticas e
culturais para a inclusão, como tendo um papel de promoção da interculturalidade,
facilitador da divulgação de atividades e serviços da comunidade educativa e da
comunidade local, e como catalisador de aproximação cultural e das dinâmicas
interpessoais, entre pares, pessoal docente e trabalhadores
The present study is called “Artistic and cultural practices for the inclusion of students from Portuguese-speaking Countries – a case study at the Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal” and it general objective is to understand whether artistic and cultural practices can contribute for the inclusion of students from Portuguese-speaking Countries in higher education, among other relevant actions for the inclusion. Based on a case study methodology, the research focused on a step-by-step process: bibliographical research on the study topic and the theoretical foundation of the research methodology; planning and execution of research procedures and techniques; carrying out exploratory interviews with informants of interest; design of information collection and processing techniques; application of the techniques, with the dissemination of the research and invitations to interested informants to carry out interviews; analysis of the information collected; and the preparation of the dissertation report. The results of the study highlight the specific constraints faced by PLOP students, compared to other higher education students, and the existence of measures developed by the Portuguese state and higher education institutions, including the IPS, which address the problems and difficulties felt by students. It was noted that there is a need to implement other measures, both because of the growing demand for IPS courses (a trend that is also widespread at national level in Portuguese higher education institutions) and because of the intrinsic characteristics of these students. The importance of artistic and cultural practices for inclusion was highlighted, among other practices, as having a role in promoting interculturality, facilitating the dissemination of activities and services of the educational community and the local community, and as a catalyst for cultural rapprochement and interpersonal dynamics between peers, teaching staff and workers.
