Este estudo, intitulado "Vou Cantar-te uma História: A Música como Indutora de Aprendizagem", investiga a potencialidade da integração da Música e das histórias no contexto da educação pré-escolar. Partindo da premissa de que a Música é um estímulo tanto cognitivo como emocional, esta pesquisa explora como a combinação da Música e da narrativa pode enriquecer a experiência educativa das crianças. A relevância do estudo reside na lacuna de investigação existente sobre o impacto da Música quando associada ao conto e nas aprendizagens que podem ser promovidas através desta integração.
A investigação foi desenvolvida numa turma de jardim de infância com 25 crianças, pertencente a um agrupamento de escolas. O problema de investigação centra- se nos benefícios da aliança entre Música e narrativa, residindo a questão principal nos benefícios que podem surgir ao se integrar a canção às histórias no contexto educativo.
Os objetivos do estudo foram: examinar como a Música pode complementar e aprofundar a compreensão das histórias pelas crianças; avaliar os impactos cognitivos, emocionais e sociais da abordagem musical na arte de contar histórias; e identificar as estratégias mais eficazes para integrar Música e narrativa, promovendo aprendizagens significativas e duradouras.
A metodologia adotada foi a investigação-ação. Os resultados mostram que a integração da Música nas histórias pode efetivamente enriquecer a compreensão e o envolvimento das crianças, promovendo um ambiente de aprendizagem mais dinâmico e significativo.
This study, entitled "I'll Sing You a Story: Music as a Learning Inducer," investigates the potential of integrating music and stories in the context of preschool education. Based on the premise that music is a cognitive and emotional stimulus, this research explores how combing music and narrative can improve children's educational experiences. The study’s relevance lies in the existing research gap regarding the impact of music, when associated with storytelling and the learning opportunities promoted through this integration. The research was conducted in a kindergarten class with 25 children, part of a school cluster. The research problem focuses on the benefits of the association between music and narrative, with the main question being the benefits that may arise from integrating songs into stories in the educational context / with the main question being how integrating songs into stories can benefit children’s learning? The study aimed to examine how music can complement and deepen children's understanding of stories, assess the cognitive, emotional, and social impacts of the musical approach in storytelling, and identify the most effective strategies for integrating music and narrative, promoting meaningful and lasting learning experiences. The methodology adopted was action research. The results show that integrating music into stories can effectively enhance children's understanding and engagement, promoting a more dynamic and meaningful learning environment.
