O presente relatório apresenta uma reflexão crítica sobre o percurso desenvolvido ao longo do estágio realizado em contexto perioperatório, evidenciando as competências adquiridas e consolidadas no âmbito da Enfermagem Médico-cirúrgica, na área da Enfermagem à pessoa em Situação Perioperatória. Paralelamente, foi desenvolvida uma investigação de natureza scoping review, centrada nos benefícios da consulta de enfermagem pré-operatória enquanto intervenção especializada, emergente da prática clínica e da observação sistemática das necessidades da pessoa submetida a cirurgia.
No contexto perioperatório, caraterizado por elevada complexidade técnica e organizacional, a pessoa vivencia frequentemente sentimentos de ansiedade, medo, incerteza e vulnerabilidade, que podem influenciar negativamente a sua experiência e perceção de segurança. Neste cenário, a consulta de enfermagem pré-operatória assume um papel fundamental na preparação holística da pessoa para o processo cirúrgico, promovendo a literacia em saúde, a redução da ansiedade e do medo, o reforço da perceção de segurança e a continuidade dos cuidados ao longo do percurso perioperatório. O enfermeiro especialista surge como elemento central na operacionalização desta intervenção, mobilizando competências clínicas, relacionais e educativas para cuidados centrados na pessoa e sustentados na evidência científica.
A scoping review teve como objetivo mapear e sistematizar a evidência científica disponível acerca dos benefícios da consulta de enfermagem pré-operatória na experiência da pessoa submetida a cirurgia “. A análise dos estudos permitiu identificar benefícios consistentes, nomeadamente a melhoria da comunicação e da relação terapêutica, a diminuição da ansiedade pré-operatória, o aumento do conhecimento e da preparação para a cirurgia, a melhoria da adesão às orientações clínicas, a redução de cancelamentos cirúrgicos evitáveis e o reforço da perceção de segurança e satisfação com os cuidados.
Conclui-se que o percurso de estágio, articulado com a investigação desenvolvida, foi determinante para o desenvolvimento das competências do enfermeiro mestre e especialista em enfermagem perioperatória, evidenciando a consulta de enfermagem pré-operatória como uma intervenção estruturante da prática especializada, com impacto significativo na experiência da pessoa e na segurança dos cuidados perioperatório.
This report presents a critical reflection on the course of the internship carried out in a perioperative context, highlighting the skills acquired and consolidated in the field of Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the area of Nursing for People in Perioperative Situations. At the same time, a scoping review was conducted, focusing on the benefits of preoperative nursing consultations as a specialized intervention, emerging from clinical practice and systematic observation of the needs of people undergoing surgery. In the perioperative context, characterized by high technical and organizational complexity, people often experience feelings of anxiety, fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability, which can negatively influence their experience and perception of safety. In this scenario, the preoperative nursing consultation plays a fundamental role in the holistic preparation of the person for the surgical process, promoting health literacy, reducing anxiety and fear, reinforcing the perception of safety, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the perioperative journey. The specialist nurse emerges as a central element in the operationalization of this intervention, mobilizing clinical, relational, and educational skills for person-centered care supported by scientific evidence. The scoping review aimed to map and systematize the available scientific evidence on the benefits of preoperative nursing consultation on the experience and safety of individuals in the perioperative period. The analysis of the studies identified consistent benefits, namely improved communication and therapeutic relationship, reduced preoperative anxiety, increased knowledge and preparation for surgery, improved adherence to clinical guidelines, reduced avoidable surgical cancellations, and enhanced perception of safety and satisfaction with care. It can be concluded that the internship program, combined with the research conducted, was decisive for the development of the skills of the specialist nurse in perioperative nursing, highlighting the preoperative nursing consultation as a structuring intervention in specialized practice, with a significant impact on the patient's experience and the safety of perioperative care.
