This research was developed in the scientific field of Military Sciences with a focus on technologies, or more specifically in Maintenance Management and Data Management of naval military ship equipment. The proposed theme of the thesis is Modelling dynamic maintenance priorities in warships – a data driven approach. This research presents: the object and objectives of the study, the justification of the topic under investigation, a state of the art on applied theories, methods and methodologies that can be applied in achieving the objectives of the thesis. This thesis aimed to develop a methodology that brings together several data sources, the FMECA, specifically modified to integrate equipment condition monitoring data and the threat state, FMECA-H-CM, which serves as a decision support system for maintenance on military ships. Within the scope of the conception and development of this concept, the database structure that feeds the FMECA-H-CM and factors related to cybersecurity were taken into consideration. With the results of the FMECA-H-CM, it was possible to improve its performance using the contribution of other experts, humanizing the responses to the method. Finally, a method and a software language were developed to demonstrate the possibility of defining automatically the risk, the priority of maintenance activities for a diesel propulsion engine and also give options of maintenance. On that way it is suggested whether it is appropriate to perform maintenance activities on other equipment related to the first if its condition determines it and this is the final option taken by maintenance managers. With the developed methodology, it may be feasible to decide on ship missions based on risk, so that decision-making bodies know the performance status of equipment and systems, indirectly revealing the degree of success of a mission on military ships.
