Abstract(s)
no protocolo PRISMA-ScR e no manual Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). A pesquisa bibliográfica
luz do conhecimento teórico.
Based on international scientific literature, this study aimed to analyze the contribution of the arts in social interventions targeting children and young people at risk of social exclusion. To this end, studies evaluating the outcomes of artistic interventions in populations up to 23 years old, published between 2000 and 2025, were included. The construction of this scoping review followed the methodological guidelines recommended in the PRISMA-ScR protocol and the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) manual. The bibliographic search was conducted using the ELICIT tool between May 6 and 8, 2025, with the query: "What evidence exists on the contribution of the arts in social intervention with children and young people up to 23 years old at risk of social exclusion?" After a rigorous selection process, 12 studies were included in the synthesis of results. The findings indicate that the arts significantly contribute to the overall development of young individuals and communities. At the individual level, a positive impact is observed in health, psychological well-being, and interpersonal relationships. Less frequently, but still noted, the involvement in artistic practices demonstrates beneficial effects at the cultural and social levels. Finally, this scoping review reflects and interprets the synthesized evidence based on theoretical knowledge. It concludes that, although there is an urgent need to invest in research on this topic, existing evidence already confirms that the arts serve as a means to an end when referring to social inclusion.
