Este estudo investiga o impacto das ferramentas de gestão nas micro e pequenas empresas em Portugal,
considerando o seu papel crucial no crescimento económico e na criação de empregos. Pretende-se
avaliar qual o impacto das ferramentas de gestão nas organizações, identificar quais as ferramentas de
gestão mais utilizadas e aferir se existe uma relação positiva entre a intensidade de utilização das
ferramentas de gestão e a performance alcançada pelas empresas. A metodologia adotada envolve uma
revisão bibliográfica para identificar conceitos e teorias relevantes, bem como um inquérito online
dirigido aos trabalhadores por conta de outrem. A análise dos dados será realizada através de técnicas
estatísticas O estudo revela-nos que a maioria dos inquiridos reconhece a importância e utiliza
ferramentas de gestão, sendo que a ferramenta de gestão mais conhecida e mais utilizada é a Análise
SWOT. O estudo revela-nos também, que ainda existem barreiras significativas para a sua adoção,
nomeadamente, a falta de disponibilização e a formação adequada. O interesse por um modelo
simplificado de gestão é muito alto, o que revela uma necessidade por soluções de gestão menos
complexas. Os objetivos do estudo foram alcançados, uma vez que foram identificadas as ferramentas
de gestão mais utilizadas pelas micro e pequenas empresas em Portugal, onde se destacam a Análise
SWOT e o Ciclo de Vida do Produto. Também foi avaliada a frequência de utilização, tendo sido
observado que a análise SWOT e o Ciclo de Vida do Produto, são as ferramentas mais utilizadas.
Relativamente ao impacto do uso das ferramentas de gestão no desempenho das micro e pequenas
empresas, o estudo destacou que ferramentas como a Análise SWOT, a Proposta de Valor e a Jornada
do Cliente têm um impacto considerável. Os motivos pelos quais algumas micro e pequenas empresas
em Portugal optam por não utilizar ferramentas de gestão, são a falta de disponibilização destas
ferramentas pelas empresas e a falta de formação adequada. As conclusões do estudo, ajudam a
compreender melhor o papel das ferramentas de gestão no contexto das micro e pequenas empresas
portuguesas, fornecendo dados importantes para futuras estratégias e políticas de apoio a este segmento
empresarial.

It aims to evaluate the impact of management tools on organizations, identify the most commonly used management tools, and assess whether there is a positive relationship between the intensity of use of management tools and the performance achieved by companies. The methodology adopted involves a literature review to identify relevant concepts and theories, as well as an online survey directed at employees. Data analysis will be conducted using statistical techniques. The study reveals that the majority of respondents recognize the importance and use management tools, with SWOT Analysis being the most well-known and widely used tool. The study also highlights significant barriers to adoption, namely, the lack of availability and adequate training. There is a high interest in a simplified management model, indicating a need for less complex management solutions. The study's objectives were achieved by identifying the most commonly used management tools by micro and small enterprises in Portugal, with SWOT Analysis and Product Life Cycle standing out. Frequency of use was also evaluated, showing that SWOT Analysis and Product Life Cycle are the most used tools. Regarding the impact of management tools on the performance of micro and small enterprises, the study highlighted that tools such as SWOT Analysis, Value Proposition, and Customer Journey have a considerable impact.
