A INTEGRAÇÃO DO JOGO COMO RECURSO DIDÁTICO NO ENSINO E NA APRENDIZAGEM DO CÁLCULO MENTAL NUMA TURMA DO 2.º ANO DO ENSINO BÁSICO

| dc.description.abstract | O cálculo mental assume-se com um elemento fundamental do processo de ensino e aprendizagem a desenvolver nos alunos. No entanto, a forma como este é abordado em sala de aula é pouco motivante e rotineiro, pelo que não tem em consideração as características, necessidades e ritmos de aprendizagem dos alunos. Nesta investigação optou-se por construir e adaptar vários jogos com o intuito de renovar/ “quebrar” algumas rotinas e proporcionar ao maior número possível de alunos a oportunidade de desenvolver as suas estratégias de cálculo mental e, consequentemente, a sua comunicação matemática. Esta investigação realizou-se no âmbito da prática de ensino supervisionada com uma turma do 2.º ano de escolaridade do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico. Nesta investigação assumiu-se um paradigma interpretativo e desenvolveu-se um projeto de investigação-ação. Os participantes foram os vinte e seis alunos da turma do 2.º ano de escolaridade do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico, a professora cooperante e a professora/investigadora. Os instrumentos de recolha de dados utilizados foram a observação, o diário de bordo, as conversas informais, a recolha documental e os protocolos dos alunos. Em relação aos resultados é importante evidenciar a evolução dos alunos no que diz respeito à utilização de diferentes estratégias de cálculo mental e explicitação das mesmas e consequente desenvolvimento da comunicação matemática, que se pode justificar com os momentos de diálogo, partilha e exploração do pensamento e raciocínio dos alunos e com o tipo de estratégia utilizada para esta finalidade – utilização de jogos matemáticos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The mental computation is assumed as a fundamental feature in the process of teaching and learning to develop in the students. However, the way this is approached in the classroom is not very motivating and routine, so it does not take into account the characteristics, needs and rhythms of students’ learning. In this investigation we decided to elaborate and adapt several games with the intention of renewing/ “break” some routines and give the greatest possible number of students the opportunity to develop their mental computation strategies and, consequently, their mathematical communication. This research was developed during the pre-service practice with a group of students attending the 2nd grade of the primary education. In this study we assumed an interpretative paradigm and developed an action-research project. The participants were the twenty-six students in the class of the 2nd grade, the cooperating teacher and the teacher/researcher. The data collection instrumentals used was the observation, researcher’s diary, informal conversations, documents and the student protocols. The results highlighted the evolution of the students regarding the use of the different strategies of mental computation and explanation of them and consequent development of mathematical communication, which can be justified with the moments of dialogue, sharing and exploration of thought and students ‘reasoning and the type of strategy used for this purpose – use of mathematical games. | pt_PT |
