Ao longo da presente investigação, procurou-se analisar o sistema de informação aplicado à gestão de projetos no âmbito das Forças Armadas, dando enfoque à identificação dos requisitos que permitissem acrescentar valor no quadro da gestão de projetos.
Através de uma metodologia de investigação científica qualitativa, assente num raciocínio indutivo, à qual se aplicou um modelo de análise tendo por base os conceitos de gestão de informação, gestão de projetos, sistema de informação e fluxo de informação, constatou-se a relevância da gestão de informação no âmbito da gestão de projetos no que se refere ao apoio à tomada de decisão, verificando-se ser fundamental a qualidade da informação, e o carácter distinto em cada fase do ciclo de vida do projeto.
Os principais requisitos para a melhoria da gestão de projetos, assentam no desenvolvimento da capacidade de sincronização e interoperabilidade do sistema de informação aplicado à gestão de projetos Microsoft Enterprise Project Management com outros sistemas de informação, potenciado pelo incremento dos sistemas de workflow e de apoio a grupos, no sentido de apoiar o fornecimento de informação aos diferentes intervenientes, garantindo a comunicação e o apoio à tomada de decisão ao longo do ciclo de vida do projeto. Abstract: Throughout the present investigation, there was an attempt to analyze the information system applied to the management of projects within the Armed Forces, focusing on the identification of the requirements that could add value in the project management framework.
Through a methodology of qualitative scientific research, based on inductive reasoning, to which was applied a model of analysis based on the concepts of information management, project management, information system and information flow, it was verified the relevance of the management of information in the scope of project management regarding the support for decision-making, verifying the quality of the information, and its distinct character in each phase of life cycle of the project is fundamental.
The main requirements for the improvement of project management are based on the development of synchronization and interoperability of the information system applied to project management Microsoft Enterprise Project Management along with other information systems, boosted by the increase of workflow systems and group support systems, in order to support the provision of information to the different stakeholders, ensuring communication and support for decision-making throughout the project life cycle.
