Abstract(s)
We are everyday confronted with the violation and discrimination of Human Rights at all levels around the world with special meaning to immigrants. Further to this in Portugal we live in a period of financial crisis caused by macroeconomics factors that have a huge impact in the cultural and social life of all people but that affects mainly young people, as a weaker group. With this research project we intended to understand the Human Rights issue by listening the youngest. We worked with a group of young people that were part of project Catapulta to understand their points of view about Human Rights and the way they are or can be discriminated in their daily life. Our research methodology - participatory research action - was complemented by the analysis of the Catapulta project itself. To support this research, the authors mentioned in the references were crucial.
