Resumo
O presente trabalho tem como o objetivo a implementação de um sistema de gestão ambiental segundo a NP ISO 14001,particularmente na Direção Nacional do Ambiente em Cabo Verde mais concretamente na Direção de Serviço de Prevenção e Avaliação de Impactes Ambientais.
Tem como objetivo central proporcionar à Instituição um enquadramento para proteger o ambiente e responder às alterações das condições ambientais, em equilíbrio com as necessidades socioeconómicas. Todavia, para garantir um bom desempenho, a Instituição necessita de definir alguns objetivos ambientais concretos e focar-se em alguns fatores fundamentais para o sucesso. Numa primeira fase começa-se por falar da importância de uma implementação de um sistema de gestão ambiental segundo a NP ISO 14001,quais os benefícios para a Instituição. Para a sua implementação, é fundamental conhecer a norma que será implementada na Instituição, primeiro passo consiste numa descrição da situação da Instituição, de seguida são identificados e avaliados os aspetos ambientais, assim como os seus respetivos impactos. Numa etapa seguinte faz-se a identificação dos requisitos legais, permitindo identificar se a Instituição cumpre com os requisitos aplicáveis. A última etapa consiste na definição de objetivos, metas e programa de gestão ambiental, para os aspetos mais significativos, aspetos esses que foram determinados através de uma fórmula de significância que permite saber quais os aspetos com maior impacte ambiental. Neste caso será o consumo de energia elétrica.

Abstract The present report has the goal of implementig an environmental management system acording to NP ISO 14001, specifically on the Prevention and Evaluation of Environmental Impacts Services located on the Nacional Environment Directorate of Cape Verde. The main purpose is to give the Institution a frame in order to protect the environment and adapt to any environmental changes, always regarding their socio-economics needs. However to ensure a good performance, the institution has to define environmental goals and focus on some fundamental keys to success. Initially it looks into the importance of implementig an Environmental management system according to NP ISO 14001 and how it benefits the institution. First it consists in a description of the current situation of the institution, then the environmental aspects are identified and assessed as well as their respective impacts. The following step is to recognize the legal requirements in order to see if the institution follows them. And finally creating goals , targets and the environmental management programme for the more significant aspects that were previously determined trough a formula that allows us o see which are the aspects with most impacto n the environment . in this specific report it will be the electric energy.
