Direitos das crianças: Perspetiva de crianças e famílias no concelho de Portalegre

| dc.description.abstract | A presente dissertação foi elaborada no âmbito do Projeto Adélia que tem por principal objetivo promover a parentalidade positiva e implementar, com base na realização de diagnósticos locais nos vários concelhos do país, planos de ação que permitam que todas as crianças tenham salvaguardados aos seus direitos. Deste modo, o estudo aqui apresentado pretende analisar de que forma as crianças vêm os seus direitos garantidos, bem como a perceção que as suas famílias têm relativamente à proteção e promoção dos direitos consagrados na Convenção sobre os Direitos da Criança. Nesse sentido, foram realizados inquéritos por questionário a crianças e a famílias, os quais estavam organizados em seis dimensões, nomeadamente: Brincadeira e Lazer, Participação e Cidadania, Segurança e Proteção, Educação, Saúde e Vida Pessoal. Participaram neste estudo 237 crianças com idades compreendidas entre os 6 e 12 anos e 181 famílias. Através da análise dos resultados podemos concluir que estas crianças e as famílias consideram, na sua grande maioria, que são garantidos os direitos das crianças no município em estudo. Com base na análise realizada é possível perceber que as crianças e os pais se envolvem nas atividades diárias, quer em ambiente escolar quer pós-escolar, embora as suas opiniões nem sempre sejam coincidentes no que se refere ao tempo livre e à tomada de decisões. Assim, a nível de fatores protetores, salienta-se sobretudo a vinculação com os progenitores e estilos parentais maioritariamente adequados, entre outros. Relativamente a fatores de risco, sinalizados neste concelho, realça-se a falta de participação nos órgãos locais, bem como a necessidade de criação de mais espaços de lazer e de ocupação dos tempos livres. No domínio da vida familiar, evidencia-se a falta de tempo que os pais têm para se dedicarem à vida pessoal e familiar, o que pode explicar o facto de nem sempre terem em consideração a opinião das suas crianças. As crianças que participaram no estudo, consideram que os pais se preocupam com a sua segurança e saúde e têm consciência do que é necessário fazer para as protegerem e promoverem os seus direitos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation was prepared within the scope of the Adelia Project, whose main objective is to promote positive parenting and implement, based on local diagnosis in the various municipalities of the country, action plans that allow all children to have their rights safeguarded. Thus, the study presented here aims to analyze how children see their rights guaranteed, as well as the perception that their families have regarding the protection and promotion of the rights enshrined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In this sense, questionnaire surveys were carried out with children and families, which were organized into six dimensions, namely: Play and Leisure, Participation and Citizenship, Safety and Protection, Education, Health and Personal Life. A total of 237 children aged between 6 and 12 years and 181 families participated in this study. Through the analysis of the results, we can conclude that these children and their families consider, for the most part, that the rights of children are guaranteed in the municipality under study. Based on the analysis carried out, it is possible to perceive that children and parents are involved in daily activities, both in school and after school, although their opinions do not always coincide with regard to free time and decision-making. Thus, in terms of protective factors, the attachment with the parents and mostly adequate parenting styles, among others, are highlighted. Regarding risk factors, signaled in this municipality, the lack of participation in local bodies is highlighted, as well as the need to create more spaces for leisure and occupation of free time. In the area of family life, the lack of time that parents have to devote to personal and family life is evident, which may explain the fact that they do not always take into account the opinion of their children. The children who participated in the study consider that their parents care about their safety and health and are aware of what needs to be done to protect them and promote their rights. | pt_PT |
