Abstract(s)
Whether due to globalization, ICT, demanding flexible and remote networks, or recognized benefits, Home Office is a challenging inevitability for Human Resource Management. The aim of the present investigation is to understand if there is a moderating effect of this type of work on the relationship between Psychological Flexibility and Performance. It is also intended to analyze the relationship between these same variables. The study is quantitative and cross-sectional, conducted through an online questionnaire to a nonprobabilistic sample. It had a total of 65 participants, social networks users aged between 23 and 65 years. We used the 18-item Cross-cultural adaptation of the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire scales (Koopmans L., et al., 2016) and the 7-item scale for Psychological Flexibility at Work (Novaes, Ferreira, & Valentini, 2015). From the main effect analysis, the results show a positive and significant impact of Psychological Flexibility on two of the three dimensions of Performance, Task, and Context. The impact on Counterproductive Work Behaviors is negative but not significant. The moderation analysis demonstrates inexistence of moderation effect of the type of work - Home Office, in the relationship between the variables. In the Socio demographic variables, the male gender reveals significant differences, revealing greater Psychological Flexibility compared to the female. Implications and limitations will be discussed.
