O presente relatório resulta do percurso formativo realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em
Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, com especialização na área de Enfermagem à Pessoa em
Situação Crítica, lecionado pela Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto.
Este ciclo de estudos, alinhado com os referenciais normativos da Ordem dos Enfermeiros,
promoveu a articulação entre a prática clínica, a investigação científica e a formação
pedagógica, visando o desenvolvimento de competências especializadas na área de
enfermagem . A formação prática foi realizada através de um Estágio de Natureza Profissional,
organizado em dois módulos, correspondendo a 45 ECTS e 540 horas de prática supervisionada
em três serviços distintos: Serviço de Medicina Intensiva, Unidade de Cuidados Intermédios e
Serviço de Urgência. Esta diversidade de contextos clínicos permitiu o contacto com diferentes
níveis de complexidade, potenciando a capacidade de adaptação, a tomada de decisão e o
pensamento crítico.
Complementarmente, foi desenvolvido um projeto, intitulado “Prevenção das Úlceras por
Pressão na Pessoa em Situação Crítica”, concebido a partir da identificação de necessidades
emergentes e reflexão crítica sobre as práticas observadas. Foi ainda realizado um estudo de
caso com recurso à plataforma educativa “E4nursing".
O terceiro capítulo deste relatório é dedicado à reflexão crítica sobre a aquisição de
competências comuns e específicas do Enfermeiro Especialista. O relatório conclui-se com uma
análise das aprendizagens, dos desafios superados e dos contributos para o desenvolvimento
pessoal e profissional.
This report results from the educational journey undertaken within the Master's Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the area of Nursing of Critically Ill Patients, offered by the Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto. This study program, aligned with the regulatory standards of the Ordem dos Enfermeiros, promoted the integration of clinical practice, scientific research, and pedagogical training, aiming at the development of specialized competencies for advanced nursing practice. The practical training was carried out through a Professional Internship, organized into two modules, corresponding to 45 ECTS and 540 hours of supervised practice across three different departments: Intensive Care Unit, Intermediate Care Unit, and Emergency Department. This diversity of clinical settings enabled exposure to various levels of complexity, enhancing adaptability, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Additionally, an intervention project was developed with the goal of promoting the quality of care provided, entitled “Prevention of Pressure Ulcers in Critically Ill Patient,” designed based on the identification of emerging needs and critical reflection on observed practices. A case study was also conducted on the “E4nursing” educational platform. The third chapter of this report is dedicated to critical reflection on the acquisition of common and specific competencies of the Specialist Nurse. The report concludes with an analysis of the learning outcomes, challenges overcome, and contributions to personal and professional development.
