This study presents an updated survey of the forest heritage of the Mata Municipal de Coimbra, in order to define the most appropriate management strategies and formulate recommendations for its preservation. For this purpose, a dendrological characterization of the existing specimens was conducted, as well as an assessment of their phytosanitary condition. The specimens were georeferenced using the Google Earth platform and recorded in a database, additionally, a phytosanitary record sheet was prepared for information analysis. In total, 160 specimens were analyzed, all showing phytosanitary issues, out of a universe of 324 trees identified in the forest. The parameters considered included stability, vegetative condition, pathologies, adaptability and management and conservation status. The results indicate that the most frequent issues observed in the trees were trunk degradation and instability, along with the presence of foliar fungi, particularly in Laurus nobilis. Furthermore, a high occurrence of Robinia pseudoacacia was recorded, a species considered invasive.
