Abstract(s)
A tecnologia tem possibilitado atividades logísticas mais flexíveis, eficientes e com
custos mais reduzidos, permitindo uma abordagem estratégica da Logística tendo em vista o
seu contributo para a criação de valor. As preocupações com o meio ambiente e o
consequente aumento da importância da Gestão Sustentável da Cadeia de Abastecimento,
veio exigir políticas e medidas com a finalidade de reduzir o impacto ambiental causado
pelas atividades logísticas.
Neste contexto, esta investigação teve como objetivo propor a implementação de
práticas emergentes no âmbito da Logística que contribuam para a modernização do Sistema
Logístico do Exército.
Foi adotada uma metodologia de raciocínio indutivo, baseada numa estratégia
qualitativa e num desenho de pesquisa de estudo de caso, recorrendo-se à análise documental
e a entrevistas, não-estruturadas dirigidas e semiestruturadas, efetuadas a entidades com
elevada responsabilidade no âmbito da Logística e da Gestão de Cadeias de Abastecimento,
no Exército português, em empresas nacionais e em Exércitos/Forças Armadas de outros
países.
Analisando as práticas emergentes que o Exército já possui e as que se encontram
implementas na Logística Empresarial nacional e na Logística Militar de outros países, foi
formulada uma proposta de práticas a aplicar ao Sistema Logístico do Exército contribuindo
para a sua modernização.
Technology has made logistics activities more flexible, efficient, and at lower costs, allowing a strategic approach to Logistics in order to create value. Concerns about the environment and the consequent growing importance of Sustainable Supply Chain Management, have required policies and measures to reduce the environmental impact caused by logistics activities. In this context, this investigation aimed to propose the implementation of emerging practices in the scope of Logistics to modernize the Portuguese Army’s Logistic System. An inductive reasoning methodology was adopted, based on a qualitative research strategy, using a case study research design. Documental analysis was carried out and guided unstructured interviews and semi-structured interviews were made to entities with high responsibility in the scope of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, in the Portuguese Army, in national Companies and in Armies/Armed Forces of other countries. Through the analysis of emerging practices that the Portuguese Army is already using and those that were implemented in the national Business Logistics and in the Military Logistics of other countries, a proposal was formulated to contribute to the modernization of the Logistics System of the Portuguese Army.
