Metassíntese sobre as Necessidades de cuidados de reabilitação da pessoa submetida a amputação do membro inferior: Contributos para a Enfermagem de Reabilitação

A amputação é um procedimento cirúrgico que envolve a remoção de uma parte do corpo, podendo resultar de diversas causas, como doenças crónicas (diabetes mellitus ou doença arterial periférica), traumatismo, infeções ou tumores malignos. Este procedimento tem implicações significativas, nomeadamente a nível físico, emocional e social. É essencial uma abordagem interdisciplinar centrada na pessoa, que integre cuidados especializados.
Desenvolvemos uma metassíntese, no âmbito da dissertação de Mestrado em Enfermagem de Reabilitação, tendo como objetivo identificar e sintetizar as necessidades de cuidados de reabilitação das pessoas submetidas a amputação do membro inferior, com foco em intervenções que promovam a adaptação funcional, emocional e social.
A metassíntese foi sustentada na metodologia do Joanna Briggs Institute® e conduzida de acordo com as diretrizes do PRISMA-ScR. A pesquisa foi realizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE via PUBMED®, CINAHL Complete®, SCOPUS®, PSICHOLOGY®, WEB of SCIENCE® e SPORTDiscus®. Foi também realizada pesquisa de literatura cinzenta e material inédito no OpenGrey, MedNar, RCAAP, ProQuest e Google Scholar.
Após a pesquisa inicial, realizou-se uma triagem em duas fases: primeiro, pela análise dos títulos e resumos; e depois, pela leitura completa dos textos para avaliar a sua elegibilidade. No final, obteve-se um total de vinte artigos que foram sujeitos a avaliação da qualidade metodológica.
As evidências obtidas foram organizadas em cinco categorias principais: impacto emocional e adaptação psicológica; crenças e perceções; aspetos sociais e de suporte; reabilitação e adaptação após amputação; e impacto de doenças crónicas e condições pré-existentes. Os resultados reforçam a importância de uma abordagem interdisciplinar, centrada no indivíduo, destacando o papel do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem de reabilitação.
Amputation is a surgical procedure that involves the removal of a part of the body, and can result from a variety of causes, such as chronic diseases (diabetes mellitus or peripheral arterial disease), trauma, infections or malignant tumors. This procedure has significant implications, particularly at a physical, emotional and social level. A person-centered, interdisciplinary approach that integrates specialized care is essential. We developed a metasynthesis, within the scope of the Master's dissertation in Rehabilitation Nursing, with the aim of identifying and synthesizing the rehabilitation care needs of people who underwent lower limb amputation, focusing on interventions that promote functional, emotional and social adaptation. The metasynthesis was supported by the Joanna Briggs Institute® methodology and conducted according to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The search was performed in the MEDLINE databases via PUBMED®, CINAHL Complete®, SCOPUS®, PSICHOLOGY®, WEB of SCIENCE® and SPORTDiscus®. A search of gray literature and unpublished material was also carried out in OpenGrey, MedNar, RCAAP, ProQuest and Google Scholar. After the initial research, a two-phase screening was carried out: first, by analyzing the titles and abstracts; and then, by reading the texts in full to assess their eligibility. In the end, a total of twenty articles were obtained and submitted to methodological quality assessment. The evidence obtained was organized into five main categories: emotional impact and psychological adaptation; beliefs and perceptions; social and support aspects; rehabilitation and adaptation after amputation; and impact of chronic diseases and pre-existing conditions. The results reinforce the importance of an interdisciplinary approach, centered on the individual, highlighting the role of the nurse specialized in rehabilitation nursing.
