O crescimento do uso da formação a distância, uma das formas de que se reveste a formação não presencial, é uma tendência deste final de século, devido à globalização da economia e à rapidez das inovações tecnológicas que estão exigindo um esforço cada vez maior em formação profissional. A formação a distância pode ser entendida como um meio de promover a formação em situações onde a formação presencial tradicional não é viável, minimizando o problema da distância entre formador e formandos.
No âmbito do presente Trabalho Individual de Longa Duração (TILD) é proposta uma pesquisa cuja
pergunta de partida é a seguinte: “A substituição do Curso Intensivo de Inglês por um curso de ensino a
distância teria proporcionado uma formação mais eficiente dos militares dos CEM 1998/2000 e
1999/2001?
A investigação pensada para desenvolver o trabalho individual é do tipo exploratória e assume a forma
de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, e de uma simulação. Abstract: The growth of the use of the distance learning for training, one way of the non traditional training, it is a tendency of the final of this century, due to the globalization of the economy and the speed of technological innovations that are demanding an effort ever larger in training. Distance learning can be understood as a way of promoting the training in situations where the traditional learning is not viable, minimizing the problem of the distance between teacher and learners.
In the context of the present Individual Work of Long Duration (TILD) it is proposed with the following
basic question: “The substitution of English's Intensive Course for a distance learning course would
have provided a more efficient training of the military of the 1998/2000, and 1999/2001CEM’s?”
The development thought for the investigation of the TILD is of an exploratory nature and it assumes
the form of bibliographical and documental research, and a simulation.
