Abstract(s)
As atividades
Looking around us, it is possible to verify that the world is involved in art, and as such, art is as much a part of our daily lives as it is of children. The activities carried out in the nursery and pre-school classroom submit the child to their creativity and imagination, thus, we can say that when developing an activity, children are involving art in its realization. The main objective of this research project report was to address the research question “How to promote the development of children's plastic expression in day care centers and kindergartens?”. It should also be noted that the present study was carried out in the two areas of Childhood Education, nursery school and kindergarten, at two different times. To ensure the development and conclusion of this report, a specific methodological approach was used, the action-research methodology. That is, during the study, various procedures for collecting and processing information were used, as well as participant observation, field notes, photographic records, and practical activities with the children. Plastic expression is a fundamental activity for the integral development of the child in kindergarten, since it allows the expression of ideas and feelings, the development of creativity and motor coordination, in addition to favoring the socialization and self- esteem of children. This methodology assumes that its entire method, development and progress is centered both on action and research. It is a methodology that supports the improvement of the practice where the action is being developed. When using the action-research methodology, it was essential not only to carry out the observation in context, but also to intervene in order to achieve the objectives implicit in this report.
