Abstract(s)
comprova estes novos ideais do mundo atual.
The preservation of dental structure has raised in importance with the introduction of the minimally invasive philosophy. New materials and techniques capable of replacing old and invasive approaches such as conventional crowns are increasingly sought. Nowadays, aesthetics has reached a high demand in society, which was not so present in the past. The constant search for replacing amalgam fillings with more aesthetic restorations echoes on the these new aesthetic ideals of the world of today. With the evolution of materials and adhesive techniques, direct and indirect cuspal coverage restoration have been recognized as undeniable quality treatment option in terms of longevity and strength, and in many cases may be indicated instead of the crown option. The aim of this study was to review the literature regarding direct and indirect cusp-coated restorations using PubMed/Medline, B-on; Google Scholar and Scielo, considering the subject covered. Since we sought to give priority to references from the last 10 years
