Introdução: O presente trabalho surge no âmbito do Mestrado em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica na qual é apresentada uma reflexão crítico-reflexiva relativa ao processo de aquisição das competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica e de Mestre. Inclui, igualmente, uma Scoping Review com o objetivo de mapear a evidência científica existente relativamente às intervenções de enfermagem dirigidas ao processo de luto fraterno pediátrico.
Objetivos: Descrever de forma crítico-reflexiva, e sustentada na melhor evidência disponível, o processo de aquisição de competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica; Mapear a evidência científica disponível relativa às intervenções de enfermagem no luto fraterno pediátrico.
Métodos: Metodologia de natureza descritiva, com base crítico reflexiva e sustentada na melhor evidência científica disponível e Scoping Review, de acordo com as orientações The Joanna Briggs Institute.
Resultados: O primeiro capítulo sustenta a aquisição das competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica. A Scoping Review reforça como a intervenção dos enfermeiros pode facilitar o processo de luto fraterno pediátrico, mencionando a importância da capacitação dos pais, comunidade escolar e profissionais de saúde no atendimento das necessidades dos irmãos enlutados.
Conclusão: O relatório apresentado fortalece o desenvolvimento das competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem de Saúde Infantil e Pediátrica, bem como a relevância das suas intervenções no contexto do luto fraterno pediátrico.
Introduction: This work is part of the Master's Degree in Child and Paediatric Health and presents a critical-reflexive reflection on the process of acquiring the competences of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Paediatric Health Nursing and the Master's Degree. It also includes a Scoping Review with the aim of mapping the existing scientific evidence regarding nursing interventions aimed at the paediatric sibling bereavement process. Objectives: To provide a critical-reflective description, based on the best available evidence, of the process of acquiring competences as a Specialist Nurse in Child and Paediatric Health; to map the available scientific evidence on nursing interventions in paediatric sibling bereavement. Materials and Methods: Descriptive methodology, critically reflective and based on the best available scientific evidence and Scoping Review, in accordance with The Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines. Results: The first chapter supports the acquisition of the competences of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Paediatric Health Nursing. The Scoping Review reinforces how the intervention of nurses can facilitate the process of paediatric sibling bereavement, mentioning the importance of empowering parents, the school community and health professionals in meeting the needs of bereaved siblings. Conclusion: The report presented strengthens the development of the competences of the Specialist Nurse in Child and Paediatric Health Nursing, as well as the relevance of their interventions in the context of paediatric sibling bereavement.
