O objetivo da investigação visa compreender como se processa a integração da perspetiva de género nas Forças Armadas Angolanas e que dificuldades e desafios a ultrapassar. É com esse propósito que analisaremos as garantias Constitucionais da República de Angola, assim como as políticas internacionais e estudos já elaborados que consubstanciam a integração do género feminino nas Forças Armadas. Nessa perspetiva, avaliaremos como as Forças Armadas Angolanas têm implementado a integração feminina no interesse da Instituição Militar e qual o grau de cumprimento da Resolução nº 1325 (2000) do Conselho de Segurança das Nações Unidas, através do Plano Nacional de Ação. O estudo concluiu que a integração da perspetiva de género, decorre, visando uma superior integração na transversalidade da Instituição Militar, sem contudo deixar de refletir sobre a necessidade premente de se ajustar o edifício legislativo em vigor, ao atual estádio de desenvolvimento da mesma. Reflete de maneira concisa qual a importância e papel que as diferentes Unidades Estabelecimentos e Órgãos devem exercer para a melhor harmonização e consolidação deste processo de integração de género, com destaque para as unidades da componente operacional, constituindo-se desse modo uma mais-valia para o elevar das capacidades visando o cumprimento com êxito das suas missões. Abstract: This research aims at understanding how Angola Armed Forces handle the integration of gender, the difficulties and challenges to overcome. Pursuant to this, the Constitutional guarantees of Angola, as well as international policies and studies addressing the integration of women in the military are analyzed. In this perspective, the Angola Armed Forces are evaluated in terms of how they have been implementing women's integration in the interests of the military institution and the degree of fulfillment of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000), through the National Action Plan. The study concluded, on one side, that the integration of gender perspective in the Angola Armed Forces is an on-going process, aiming at a greater gender integration in the transversality of the military institution; and on the other, it reflects on the urgent need to adjust the legislative process to the current stage of development of the gender process. It also addresses concisely the importance and role that different Angola Armed Forces Services should exercise for better harmonization and consolidation of the gender integration process, especially for the operational units, thus constituting thereby an added value enabling to raise capacity aimed at successful and effective performance of missions.
